A Filipino culinary haven tucked away in Jackson Heights, offering an exquisite journey into the heart of Philippine flavors. The intimate setting and friendly ambiance create the perfect backdrop for a nice dining experience with friends.
The food is so delicious and affordable. I brought my Filipino mom here when she visited me in New York, and she said this is the best Filipino restaurant she has eaten here in NYC. The people are also so nice and friendly and generous. I definitely will come back and bring my friends here.
Monday lunch about 2pm. Greeted by friendly staff and a great table location. About 12-15 others are dining as well. Really tastee. Authentic Grill is close to my wife's cooking ( she's still the best ) 😁.
Comfort food at it's finest.
Went on here on the recommendation of my barber and wasn’t disappointed. Having never been to the Philippines and not having any Filipino family I had no idea what to order so my buddy and I went for the platter and as an aftertizer (since we were coming from a hike) we ordered the pork belly. Will for sure be back and in the meantime I’ll be searching the internet for some Filipino staples to try!
Went with a group of 12, and luckily, they had seating. Prices are decent, good selection is varied, and the place is small, yet quaint. We ordered 2 platters, and it was amazing. It was my first time having Filipino food, and everything tasted great! I'd love to eat here again!
This Filipino restaurant is a gem.
The food is great. Each plate came with rice. Or sub garlic rice for extra.
Lechon sisig was great. Wish it came with more peppers. Served on a sizzling plate as per usual.
Fried tilapia was on point. Perfectly fried. Eat all the bones too.
Pork bbq skewers are hella good. 4 dollars a pop but their pretty big.
The ampalaya is ampalaya. You love it or hate it. I thought that maybe after 10 years of not having it, that I’d like it. But it’s still a no from me dawg. For those unaware, this is a bitter melon dish. It’s name is suggestive of its flavor profile. The shrimp was good as was the sauce.
Grilled Bangus was nice. Small portion. Came with grilled eggplant which was nice.
Sago and halo halo were really good. Wish I had more stomach space to try more.
Will definitely be coming back.
The owner same up to us and asked about our dinner. VERY PLEASED.
Came here on a Saturday morning. Only one table was being served. We ordered our food and two more tables were filled by people. Everyone else got their food except us. The two tables who came after us got their food and still we did not get ours. When the food finally came, it was cold. One of the tea cups they gave us had stains on it. One of the water had a black spec floating on top. Got breakfast and the egg was cold and hard as well as the rest of the food. There are many Filipino restaurants in the area and this will not be on my list to go to anymore. Seems like the quality has gone down. The staff was friendly, but what happened to the quality and cleanliness? They even added 18% gratuity on our tab, there were only 4 of us.
Food was good but please update your menu with accurate pricing. I ordered two steaks and was charged an extra 10 dollars. When I asked about the higher charge on my receipt they said they have not updated their pricing. This is deceiving your customer. I should have been informed when placing the order so that I have the option to decide whether I still want it. They could have easily turned this experience around by honoring the price as listed on the menu. Restaurants are required by law to make sure that their menu prices are accurate. This was poor customer service!
